Norfolk home destroyed by fire

Norfolk, Virginia – A home on Avenue H was destroyed in fire early Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to the home around 1:30am.

A man, woman and two children were inside the home and made it out safely by climbing out of the back windows.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The American Red Cross is assisting the residents displaced by the fire.
