I joined the News 3 team in August 2017. As a JMU Duke and former member of the Virginia Army National Guard I am so happy to be back in the great state of Virginia.

I started my career as a weekend anchor/reporter in Lafayette, La. I covered everything from devastating hurricanes to the Grand Theatre shooting. I also met my wonderful fiancé Hunter in New Orleans. Soon after, I accepted a job in Sioux Falls, S.D. as the Monday – Friday morning anchor. After waking up every morning at 3 a.m. I am so happy to be back in Virginia and thrilled to be closer to family, friends and my alma mater. Go Dukes!

Since 8th grade I knew that I wanted to be a journalist. After reading the morning news for my middle school, a teacher who I really respected stopped me and said “that is your calling.” I never looked back.

This business can be challenging and difficult at times but those are the things that keep me motivated every single day. I love having the ability to meet so many people in the community and for them to give me the chance to share their stories.

Growing up as an Army brat has instilled in me a love for traveling and meeting new people. My dad still proudly serves in the Army.

I am a bit of a fitness junkie but I still love to eat! I am always looking for recommendations. If I am not traveling or working out you can bet I am either watching a game, or at a game! I am sports obsessed! Baseball and football are my favorite, but I will watch anything. I also love to talk sports so feel free to tweet, or message on my News 3 social media pages.

Lets get to know each other, if you have a special event, story idea, question or would just like to say hi like or follow my pages below.
